Limited access to quality education, skills development, and opportunities for youth in rural and underserved communities.
The story of how and why Ask Educator Organization (AEO) was founded
Limited access to quality education, skills development, and opportunities for youth in rural and underserved communities.
The need to empower young people with leadership skills and support them to actively contribute to community development and positive social change.
The importance of strengthening the participation, empowerment and leadership of women and girls in education, society, and decision-making.
Ask Educator Organization (AEO) was founded in response to the limited access to quality education, skills development, and leadership opportunities available to youth and women in rural and underserved communities across the Kurdistan Region of Iraq.
Inspired by personal experience growing up in a village with limited educational and developmental opportunities, our founder recognized the urgent need to create pathways for learning, empowerment, and community growth. The organization was established to ensure that young people in villages and marginalized areas can access the same opportunities available in larger cities.
Since its establishment in 2024, AEO has worked to empower youth and women, strengthen local leadership, promote inclusion and peacebuilding, and support communities in building brighter and more sustainable futures.
